The safety and security of our students is a top priority. St. Lawrence Martyr School continues to review and update our procedures and practices in this area.
Safety plan which is reviewed by faculty and staff annually
Emergency Drills for earthquake, fire, and intruder/shelter-in-place
Safety Committee of frontline workers and first responders
Interior and Exterior Security Cameras
New safety doors with buzz-in office entrance
Students rotate classes through an interior hallway
Faculty and staff receive training from local law enforcement for intruder/shelter-in-place training
Each classroom is equipped with an emergency supply backpack
Staffed health room
All staff is CPR certified

All teachers and staff members are VIRTUS trained and certified
All parents who interact with students on campus must be VIRTUS trained and certified

Safeguard the Children
Students participate in the annual Empowering God’s Children program. This program is designed to provide ongoing support, education, training and resources to address children’s safety in our parishes, schools, homes and communities.
Students must have a signed permission slip on file in order to participate in this program. Find the permission slip here.
